Passer-by, I’ve not much to say: stop and read it through.
This is the unlovely tomb of a lovely woman.
Her parents called her Claudia by name.
Her husband she loved with all her heart.
Two sons she bore; one she leaves behind her
On earth, the other she placed beneath it.
Her conversation was elegant, but her bearing proper.
She kept house, she span her wool. That’s all. Go your way.
